Earslwood gets Joey walking and wagging again

Earlswood Veterinary in East Belfast has shared a remarkable and heartwarming story of how they recently nursed a patient back to health after he was admitted with a sudden paralysis of the legs.
Writing on Facebook, the practice said: “Joey was referred to Dr A Burns at Earlswood Veterinary Hospital in April this year with a sudden paraparesis, later being diagnosed with a Fibrocartilaginous Embolism (FCE).
“Joey was unable to use his hind limbs or sit up. While he was an in patient Joey started intensive physio with our nursing team, Holistic Pet NI and Hydrotherapy with our brand new underwater treadmill.
“Joey continued his rehabilitation at home with his dedicated owner, regaining strength and movement. The results are amazing, Joey is now enjoying life at full speed again.
A TikTok video captures Joey’s rehab journey and the dedicated care provided by the staff at the Belmont Road practice on the road to again running in the garden and wagging his tail.
