Garden Lodge bids sad farewell to head nurse Emma

Garden Lodge Veterinary Clinic, based in Holywood, Co Down, is saying a sad goodbye to their head nurse Emma Freeman after more than a decade with the practice.

Emma not only takes brilliant care of all in-patients but also runs the practices puppy parties an advises owners on nutrition, worming and flea treatment, weight management. post-operative wound care and much more.

A post on the practice’s Facebook page read: “There will be a lot of teary eyes in the clinic next week as Emma moves onto a new job after over a decade in Garden Lodge, we wish her all the best in her new adventure but will certainly miss her lots!

“If you have had the pleasure of meeting Emma you will know how much she cares about all your pets, she is a great Nurse, coach for our student nurses, animal welfare advocate and an amazing friend.
“Best wishes for the future Emma, you will be missed greatly from the team❤️ If you see Emma in the surgery before she leaves wish her good luck!”

Emma is our head veterinary nurse. She takes brilliant care of all of our in-patients and monitors animals under general anaesthetic to ensure everything goes smoothly and they recover well. In addition she runs our puppy parties.  In these consults she can advise you on nutrition, worming and flea treatment, weight management, post-operative wound care, nail clipping and much more.

The surgery also uploaded a tribute video to Emma  who has her own pets in the form of Lenny the cat and staffordshire bull terrier, Lily.
