Give the gift of preventative health this Christmas!

MSD Animal Health is encouraging vets to speak to pet owners about giving their pet ‘the gift of preventative health’ this Christmas.

The leading animal health provider recently launched Bravecto Injectable onto the Irish market earlier this year and believes that all pets deserve the gift of twelve months free from fleas and ticks. As part of their campaign to improve pet health, MSD Animal Health has committed to continue their support of the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.

The puppies of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind have been given an early Christmas present this year, with MSD Animal Health presenting them with ‘the gift of preventative health.’

The annual donation will provide around 240 dogs in the Volunteer Breeding Programme, Volunteer Puppy Raising Programme and the Training Programme with vaccines from the Nobivac range as well as Bravecto flea and tick treatment for the year ahead.

Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind is Ireland’s national charity dedicated to helping people who are visually impaired and families of children with autism to achieve improved mobility and independence.

Bosco Cowley, Manager of MSD Animal Health’s Companion Animals Division, said: “We are delighted to be announcing this ongoing partnership with Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind and to be collaborating with their own veterinary practitioners in supporting the health and wellbeing of these incredibly special dogs. The first years of life are crucial in preparing them their future role, and a full bill of health is essential in supporting them during their training and development period. The MSD vaccination programme will help to ensure that common diseases and parasites are controlled, and the dogs can thrive and flourish.”
