Nominations are now open for the BVA Awards

Can you help BVA find exceptional members to shine a light on with award?

BVA’s annual awards are a fantastic opportunity to spotlight members who have undertaken outstanding work or research that has made a positive impact on animal welfare and the profession.

Nominations are now open for the following prestigious awards:

  • BVA Outstanding Service Award (Chiron Award) – This award honours lifetime achievements or exceptional contributions to the veterinary profession that earn international or inter-professional recognition.
  • BVA Advancement of Veterinary Science Award (Dalrymple-Champneys Cup and Medal) – This award recognises BVA members who have undertaken outstanding work, from any branch of veterinary science, which has helped to advance and disseminate veterinary knowledge, encouraging the advancement of veterinary science.
  • BVA Animal Health and Welfare Overseas Award (J.Trevor Blackburn Award) – This award recognises BVA members who have worked overseas, contributing to projects which raise standards of animal and human health and welfare in low and middle income countries.How to nominate
